Every effort is made to make sure that parents are well aware of the schedule that fees are due. The only other fees would be presented later are for recital photos and DVD's, which are optional. And competition fees if you are part of the competitive classes.
Academy of Fine Arts is located in Woodward Oklahoma. The school has been located in Woodward for more than 25 years and has a strong presence in the community by being involved in community events such as Family Fun Fair, Rally Round Children, Safety Fair, Classic Bowl and Woodward Arts Theatre.
Students have participated in televised halftime shows for major Bowl Games as well as performing on a cruise ship and in the Bahamas. Students have also found themselves in local plays and musicals as dancers, actors and vocalists. Several students have been accepted into collegiate dance departments and as members of collegiate cheer squads at state and private universities.
We offer classes for all ages and both gender. Although most classes are offered for both boys and girls, we do offer some classes for only boys, such as our Jump & Kick Gymnastics and Boys Tap and Hip Hop.Click here for boys only programs. The school happily presents teachers that have a passion for working with students in a positive atmosphere. You will hear a teacher yell from time to time such phrases as "Good Job!" and "Great Effort!". Faculty and staff are constantly attending trainings and conventions to keep up on cutting edge choreography,techniques, styles and safety. They have also been background checked for your child's safety.
The 12,000 square foot facility in Woodward stretches over more than a third of a block in the historical Main Street district that historical figures such as Temple Houston, son of Sam Houston, walked during early statehood days. The facility offers high ceilings and renovated rooms that are perfect for dance and gymnastics. The dance rooms feature floating professional floors and sound systems while the gym is well equipped with gymnastic equipment that is safety checked daily. We offer a variety dance classes including gymnastics, tumbling, cheerleading, fitness, seasonal swimming lessons (in Woodward location) and preschool dance/tumble/music combination classes. The school is currently the only full time facility in bothe Woodward and Enid areas that offers such a wide variety of classes to fit most families needs in one location. Thus saving time and money.
We also offer a program that goes into area schools and teaches the dances of particular eras of history being studied and was awarded the Woodward Educators Friend recognition in 2005.
Our Faculty and Staff love to have fun with the students and offer wonderful events such as Halloween Dress Up days, Student Appreciation Days, Bring A Friend Week, Camps, Birthday Parties, Dad and Daughter Events and Tea Parties. The faculty has also been a vital part of the Classic Bowl Foundations Cheerleading Competition, held in Woodward each spring, as well as serving as adjudicators for area pageants and national dance and talent competitions.
Our dance program has been voted "best dance lessons" in Woodward County's Best of the Best, six different years, and has been featured in interviews in the national publication of Dance Teacher Magazine in 2007 and 2008. Academy of Fine Arts is well known in the region, as well as around the state, for students that study technique, style and performance.

Our recitals are known in the area for great entertainment and fun themes. Recitals are a great time to invite the entire family to see the accomplishments of your child or children. Our recitals are low stress and fun for the students because they are so well prepared for the event by working closely with their teachers all school year. Affording Dance Classes Is Easy!
Refer a friend to classes and when they register, ask them to put your name on the enrollment form as the referring family. We will then award your account a $10 credit. Refer as many as you would like!
2.5 referrals enrolled per week is equal to $100 per month in credits! September through May is then $900 in credits! We make it easy to take classes and we promise to take very good care of your friends!
